why dog poop is bad for your yard

-
Soil Contamination: Dog feces contain harmful bacteria, parasites, and pathogens, such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Giardia. These can contaminate the soil, making it unsafe for plants and other animals.
-
Nutrient Imbalance: Dog waste can alter the nutrient balance in the soil. The nitrogen in dog urine and feces can create overly acidic conditions, harming grass and other plants by burning or killing them.
-
Attracts Pests: Uncollected dog poop can attract pests such as flies, rodents, and other scavengers, which can introduce additional problems to your yard.
-
Bad Smell: The decomposing feces can produce an unpleasant odor that can linger in your yard, making outdoor activities less enjoyable.
-
Potential Health Hazards: Dog poop can pose health risks to humans and other animals. If not cleaned up, it can be a source of diseases that are transferable to people, especially children who may play on the grass.
-
Aesthetic Impact: Piles of dog poop are visually unappealing and can diminish the overall appearance of your yard, making it less inviting for guests or even for your own enjoyment.
-
Spread of Parasites: Dogs can carry parasites such as roundworms and hookworms, which can be spread through their feces. These parasites can survive in the soil and pose a threat to both pets and people.
Cleaning up after your dog is essential for maintaining a healthy, safe, and attractive yard.
What to Expect when the Crew Arrives
-
When our pet waste removal crew arrives at your home, they’ll carefully walk through your yard in a grid-like pattern, making sure to spot and pick up every little pile of pet waste.
-
After the first pass, they’ll do a quick second walk-through to double-check they’ve gotten everything.
-
Using a special scooping tool and a fresh waste bag, they’ll collect the waste, then place it in a second bag and tie it up securely. You can choose whether they'd dispose of the bags in your trash can or take them with them for disposal.
-
To provide you with peace of mind, we’ll send a confirmation email after the service, including an image showing the door to your yard securely closed and locked.
-
Before they leave, they’ll make sure to clean and disinfect their tools and shoes, ensuring that no waste is brought from one yard to another.
Please note: We can only service areas that are directly accessible from the outside. We’re unable to walk through homes to reach the areas that need cleaning.
